Home Visits: Through the Welcome Baby program, a nurse or trained volunteer can come to your home to go over a variety of resources and materials related to maternal and infant health. They’ll also bring a free gift that includes a new onesie, blanket, book, and other baby items.
Parenting Classes: Welcome Baby offers free parenting classes each week at different locations throughout Utah County. Pizza, a book, and a free activity are given to each attendee. Most locations also offer free childcare.
Play Groups: The Welcome Baby program offers free playgroups for parents and children at different locations in Utah County. Each month is a different theme and each week there is freeplay, singing time, story time, a craft, and a snack.
"I have been coming to the Ready to Learn Program for the past 4 years. I love so many things about the program. I love being able to put a label on what my kids are doing in regards to their development. I am particularly grateful for learning how to help my kids be prepared for school, the importance of routines, and the importance of literacy. Ready to Learn is a great opportunity for my kids to interact with other kids and adults. The principles I have learned at Ready to Learn are now a part of my parenting. Even though the material is the same each year, I have felt each time that it is a ‘refresh’ and I am reminded of great information on child development and parenting skills."
Due to COVID-19, most in-person programs have been adapted to be remote.
